On August 30th, 2021, composer Hideki Naganuma, most known for composing the Jet Set Radio Future soundtrack, posted an image of the Man face to Twitter along with a description of it taken from the Roblox wiki, gaining over 8,300 likes and 1,100 retweets in a week (shown below). In April 2021, the account started posting photoshops adding the face to characters from other games and media properties (early examples shown below). On March 27th, TikToker posted a video showing hers off, gaining over 2.3 million views in six months (shown below). This is explained in a video posted to YouTube by Laughability in March 2021, where he explores why so many people use the face and refers to it jokingly as a cult (shown below).Ī mug with the Man face on it is available for purchase from Etsy. Roblox YouTubers MoFlare, Craxel and Sebee largely helped spread the face's popularity after using it in their videos. The Man Face became significantly popular among players over the course of 2021. On February 5th, 2021, YouTuber Flamingo posted a video titled "ROBLOX MAN FACE" playing the game with a group of other players using the face, gaining over 3.2 million views in seven months (shown below). In December 2020 the Twitter page or "random images but the roblox man face is on it," started posting photoshops adding the face over other characters and objects. It was originally sold for 100 Robux but is now free. Smyth Face.The Man Face was published to the Roblox avatar shop on July 26th, 2012 under the name "Johnny Face" (shown below). It was changed later to a different image and name to the Dr. Page of the image quickly caught a few days after the incident. Unlike the previous one, it was changed to a copy of the Man Face, which was sold to 712 users. Smyth face, the one that replaced the c: face.
